"3D printing + cloud computing" into the mainstream technology of the future universe detection!
If there is a field you might not expect to do by crowdsourcing, it might be space exploration. But this is exactly what the Open Space Agency (OSA) is doing. OSA is a network of amateur citizen scientists founded by entrepreneur James Parr who positions themselves as a complement to professional space agencies. The agency is even working on its own space project, the open source 3D printing telescope Ultrascope, an automatic astronomical telescope built on 3D printing, controlled by a smartphone.
In fact, we have introduced the Ultrascope project many times in the past, and as early as 10 in 2014, it started beta testing. Since that time, Ultrascope has been continuously improved as an open source 3D printing design by the OSA community. Until now, OSA officially released the official version of the open source 3D printing astronomical telescope, Ultrascope Explorer Plus, through Wevolver. According to Parr, using a 3D printing and laser cutting technology, the astronomical telescope is only about £200.
However, OSA did not release all the build instructions for Ultrascope Explorer Plus at once, but hoped to release a part of it later. Step 1 just released includes all design files for the parts manufactured by 3D printing and laser cutting technology; steps 2-5 relate to how to make focusing devices, telescope tubes, optical paths, split rings and pedestals; It mainly consists of the assembly of electronic devices, including the Arduino circuit board as the "brain" of the telescope; step 7, and the final step, to observe the celestial body.
This is an astronomical telescope that anyone can build and use in his backyard. But its functionality has gone beyond the scope of being just a tool for an amateur astronomer. Using a smartphone as a camera and input/output device, Ultrascope enables amateur astronomers to capture and measure, effectively providing useful data for discovering scientific applications such as asteroids or planets.
“Interestingly, some of the off-the-shelf product technologies that consumers use today are starting to approach the level of expertise of a decade ago,†Parr said. “The camera on NASA's Mars probe and the camera on a contemporary smartphone. The quality is basically the same. The rapid development of current consumer technology has made me almost curious to use the off-the-shelf technology on the market to achieve or replicate the results of some space programs."
In fact, OSA believes that Ultrascope and its users will be able to play an important role in NASA's Asteroid Challenge Lab project. NASA's program encourages citizens to help identify asteroids that could pose a potential threat to the planet. Is it very attractive? Create an Ultrascope and you might even save the world!
So how do Ultrascope users share the photos, measurements, and observations they capture? Of course it is cloud computing! A smartphone app can record the photos and information obtained by the telescope and send it to a cloud database where anyone can access the database. At the same time, the app also records the location of each Ultrascope. So, as more people make and use this astronomical telescope, a global astronomical observation network is formed.
"When we have thousands of Ultrascopes in use around the world, you can say, "Oh, I want to know what the sky in South Africa will look like. "Then you can connect to the telescope in South Africa and see what it sees," Parr added.
Industrial strainers are wildly used in all type of industrial pipelines, such as power stataion, petrochemical, natual gas, water treatment ect. Y strainer, T strainer and basket strainer with ASME & DIN standard are commonly used by customer. Industrial strainers we provided can cover size from 1/2 inch to 40 inch(DN15-DN1000) matching pressure from class 150 to class 2500(PN10-PN420) which are suitable for operating in the working media temperature from -196℃ to 593℃, as well as material in carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and duplex steel.
