At the end of March, the IOC assessment team will evaluate Beijing Shendong. From March 11th to 15th, the Beijing Olympic Olympics Committee organized the official media to conduct the thematic interview activities of the Shendong Olympic Games. In the interview, the media unanimously praised the concept of sustainable use of the Beijing Olympic venues.
In the planning of the Winter Olympics Committee, Beijing will fully assume all the ice project competitions during the 2022 Winter Olympics. In the five required competition venues, only one speed skating are to be built separately, and the remaining venues are all played at the Beijing Olympics.
According to the plan, the National Stadium Bird's Nest will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. According to statistics, since the Beijing Olympic Games until the end of 2014, the Bird’s Nest has received more than 24 million Chinese and foreign tourists and held more than 180 events of various types, including more than 10,000 large-scale events attended by more than 100 participants. Over 40, 000 international top-level competitions have been performed; more than 50,000 square meters of commercial space have been fully developed within the Bird's Nest, and more than 700 varieties of more than 20 major categories of licensed products have been developed using the Bird's Nest Intellectual Property. The proportion of tourism services, large-scale events and commercial development of the Bird's Nest in the total operating income has formed a 3:4:3 industrial structure. The venues have been fully utilized and the sustained and healthy development of the National Stadium has been achieved. In December 2014, the FIS Freestyle Skiing Aerials World Cup was successfully held in the Bird’s Nest for two consecutive sessions, further enriching the experience of the National Stadium in hosting the Winter Skiing Competition Project and helping Beijing bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The National Stadium near the Bird’s Nest will serve as a men's ice hockey stadium during the Winter Olympics.
After the Beijing Olympic Games, the National Gymnasium gradually explored the use of the entire industry chain model after the match in a clear positioning of the function of the venues and the implementation of the planning of venues, and formed a large-scale cultural performance business operation platform, marketing sponsorship platform, commercial development platform, and autonomy.
