About Zeng Weigang:

In 1990, I went to Canada to come into contact with outdoor sports. Canada is a country with sparse population, abundant natural resources and a larger national territory than China. However, 90% of Canada’s population lives are concentrated within 100 kilometers of the U.S. border. Location, population is very concentrated. Most of Northern Canada is very unpopular, so it provides a good venue for outdoor sports. There are mountains, mountains can be climbed in winter, and can be climbed in summer. Zeng Weigang started from camping, went to water sports, drifted, and then went skiing. This exposed a lot of outdoor sports.

When I majored in college, I worked in engineering, but later I worked in IT. I usually work more indoors. When I'm at leisure, I want to be close to nature. By 2004, there was a chance to return to China to start a business and change an industry.


Zeng Weigang speaks about the outdoor industry:


The outdoor industry has not been in China for a long time. Strictly speaking it does not exceed ten years, but it has developed very quickly. It has been 40 to 50 years since the development of foreign outdoor industries. However, it may take only a dozen years for China to complete this stage. It is still an early period of rise.


Zeng Weigang said in an interview:


The Chinese market is a relatively new market. In the recent three years, the international attention to the Chinese market has increased significantly. One is that the Chinese market continues to grow at a rapid rate; the second is from the global environment. The Chinese market is thriving with slower growth.


We have a project called outdoor school, which is mainly to do some professional knowledge training for outdoor shops and outdoor workers. There are also trainings for outdoor store operators on how to do business. This is our service to the industry. The development of the entire industry requires the improvement of everyone's overall level. This is what I think should be done.
