Tactical Palm Treasure, EDC Preferred - NEXTORCH TA30
I am very honored to have the chance to experience another Red Dot award masterpiece, Narita TA30 tactical flashlight, because I have been exposed to various brands of lighting equipment such as the TA5 and P5W before, and have a certain understanding of their quality control performance. The workmanship is very confident for this experience.
First, the appearance of details
The familiar outer packaging box is still as concise and clear as it is. However, a brief introduction to the box full of E text is really not particularly happy.
The top of the box is a metal hanging buckle to facilitate the supermarket shopping mall.
The bottom of the box describes several safety certifications and bar codes.
For the rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, the following tests were simply done. The battery power was completely drained (there was no protection due to protection). The battery condition was monitored in real time using a current-voltage tester. The charge voltage was less than 5V and the current was 0.71v at maximum. One-and-a-half hours to achieve trickle charge. The final measurement was about 3187 mAh capacity. Of course, due to the influence of the test equipment environment, it is for reference only.
TA30 adopts aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum material, which is hard-anodized by military regulations. It has a certain degree of wear resistance. Generally, a small bump will not leave traces on the cylinder body. The whole body is black, except for the laser body of the barrel body.
Reference in the palm of the size, in the next hand is a small type, but the TA30 is still left in their hands, in the face of the old brother TA5 is the existence of a younger brother haha. After a simple measurement, the TA30 has a body length of approximately 135 mm, a barrel diameter of 28 mm, a barrel diameter of 22 mm, and a cylinder tail diameter of 25.5 mm. The number of 18650 tactical cylinders is small and precise. The net weight is only 89.2. 
The TA30 lamp beads use the XP-L V6, equipped with a glossy reflector, and can deliver up to 1100 lumens of brightness. The center of the lamp beads can shoot a bowl of yellow soup. 
The outside of the barrel head is compacted with stainless steel pressure rings, and there are three zirconium bead attack head designs that do not scratch the clothes themselves and have a broken window self-rescue function. This will be mentioned in the next test. 
Eight heads of rib structure design for one week, with considerable stability and brand features. On one side, a cool brand logo and website address are printed. 
Equipped with a cool brand logo, a unique factory code, brand model, and battery-mounted positive and negative electrode logos are extended. The large block square knurling of the barrel and the tail cover is distributed over a large area, and the hand feel is good, and it has a certain friction, so that it is not easy to slip even if the bare hand is operated.
Another measure of the tube head is the bean mark.
The TA30 comes standard with stainless steel clips, which need to be removed to remove the end caps. This is relatively safe as compared to other detachable clips, so you don't have to worry about accidental detachment of loose clips. The limited slot design on the side of the barrel makes the holding clamp non-rotating. Hidden on the clips and a hand rope hole. The standard hand strap can be easily worn, but it is thought that the hand rope hole design is too small, and it is estimated that it is difficult for the diy rope hand strap to pass through. Of course, it is never love to hold it down, and it is randomly disassembled and thrown to the side after receiving it.
The other side of the barrel is a flat surface, which may have two shallow grooves in the plane due to machining errors. It is not particularly beautiful.

2, broken window test
Speaking of breaking the window of course is the car window, especially the bus window of the CMB bus is closest to the actual situation, and my test conditions are limited, so I use my Coffee Table tempered glass to test, for reference only. But unfortunately the broken window can be considered successful, but after the window is broken, you want to light up the flashlight. The result cannot be opened normally. If you check it for a long time, you will not be able to do so. Then you will return to the factory and you will find that there is a welding drop off and the two shallow bodies. Grooves, manufacturers to renew, and in the following requirements in the cylinder plane printed on my screen name. Afterwards, we briefly analyzed the reason why the broken window could not be lit normally. We may analyze two points: One is that the strength of the tempered glass of the coffee table with a thickness of 10 mm used by me is greater than that of a normal window. The second is that the flashlight I test is an example, the welding is not solid. Hope is just an example.
3, TA30 waterproof test
On the way of the donkey, the water is simply tested.
The official said the TA30 waterproof grade IPX-8 waterproof, 2 meters underwater, but my test conditions are limited, underwater two meters or the same pressure test environment is not easy to achieve, and more difficult to shoot, it is still using the old method, vase Hydrostatic long-term immersion test. The TA30 is immersed in 20cm of water and allowed to stand for more than half an hour, during which time normal shift switch operation can be performed.

4, highlight file static one meter distance illuminance curve and temperature rise test:
The Norland usb direct charge 18650 lithium-ion battery is fully charged, and the measured battery voltage is 4.205V. Room temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius, no wind environment test.
Using an illuminometer, a group of data is recorded every six seconds, and 1900 groups are automatically recorded. Based on the relationship of illuminance, the basic performance of the circuit is analyzed by analyzing the change in illuminance at a distance of one meter. From the graph, it is not difficult to find that the illuminance of the TA30 highlight at 1 meter was 13300 lux, and then declined rapidly. The downward trend is not optimistic. Until the 71st set of data, that is, the 71st minute decline trend is only slightly eased.
After the TA30 automatically extinguishes, the measured battery voltage is 0V. Since the battery has a protective plate, it protects it from low voltage and isolates the internal and external contacts of the battery. Therefore, 0V is measured.

It can be seen from the video that the maximum temperature of 52.1 degrees Celsius was reached at the 41st minute of the TA30 highlight, and gradually cooled down.

In summary, it is not difficult to find that the TA30 has obvious advantages in many of today's tactical flashlights. It is compact and portable, easy to operate, and has a much higher price/performance ratio.
Third, summary,
The TA30 is short and smart, and the magnetic tactical tail press is more suitable for the tactical environment. With the direct charge of the 18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it is more convenient for daily EDC use. The TA30 has now become the next EDC cartridge, and it has passed through the darkness to welcome the light.
