Krosterp, a sports medicine researcher, collaborated with experts from the University of Copenhagen Sports Academy and its affiliated hospitals. They divided the average of 28 non-athletes into two groups. One group played two or three times a week, and the other group jogged two or three times a week. Both groups lasted for three months. The researchers found that kicking the ball reduced fat by an average of 3.5kg and increased muscle mass by 2kg, whereas joggers lost an average of only 2kg of fat, without any increase in muscle mass. Croutp explained the difference between the two, saying that footballers often change the speed of the exercise, sometimes jogging, and sometimes running arrogantly, and are more likely to be involved in exercise than joggers.
