8 of the world's newest home designs unveiled at the London Design Festival

The 2017 London Design Festival 2017 takes place in the squares and venues of the capital city. In this event, people can not only appreciate dozens of unusual modern sculpture installations, but also a variety of new products introduced by many designers and brands. Here are 8 of our favorite products, all from the exhibition area of the design hub:

Bentley Grey designed dhow series cabinets

British designer Bethan Gray upgraded the series of gorgeous cabinets launched last year, combining brightly colored woodwork and brass inlays to create new products with new colors and patterns.

Gray said: For the Dhow series, I was inspired by the dhows in the Gulf.

The traditional dhows are propelled by diagonally mounted triangular sails. This cotton-like sail, stitched into a striped pattern, is fixed to the hull by a rope made of coconut shell fibers, creating a unique, textured silhouette. The elegant curved pattern on the cabinets is influenced by this contour.

Tala's new LED luminaire, The Voronoi III, is known as the world's largest engraving bulb. The designer saw the pattern formed by the overlapping canopies, and influenced the design of the bulb. The Voronoi III is made from hand-blown glass with a cylinder in the middle of the bulb that surrounds the LED fittings.

Tala's design director, Joe Armitage, said: LED technology allows us to challenge the traditional form of light bulbs and for the first time break through the boundaries of artificially blown glass.
