Dow Launches New Frozen Packaging

The Polyolefins and Elastomers (PO&E) business unit of Dow Plastics USA has introduced a new grade of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), Dowlex IP-51, to the market compared to conventional low temperature hard packaging. The new product has better impact strength and processability. According to reports, Dowler IP-51 melt index (MI) is 50g/10min, density 0.947g/cm3, is developed specifically for frozen food packaging, such as ice cream, milk, juice, sorbet and other product containers.
