Kraft paper printing example

From a paper point of view, it is generally not necessary to use an offset press to print full-length printed kraft paper (better with flexographic printing) because the surface of the kraft paper is rough, the texture is soft, the ink absorption is strong, the color of the print is dull and the printing will appear. The phenomenon that the ink pulls down the paper surface fiber (also called pulling off the paper hair) is quite different from the sample provided by the customer.

Our company received such an order and requested full-printing of the kraft paper (120g/m2) bag. As a last resort, we decided to use Heidelberg's CD102-5+L (5-color sheet-fed, on-line glazing) Speedmaster offset printing machine.

Through comparative analysis of the paper, we used the varnish for two times to make a bottom, fill in and cover the surface of the paper and printed it, that is, wet and wet printing. The printed product has good gloss and uniform ink thickness. The sample was delivered to the customer and it was approved by the customer.
