New Post-print Perspective - Fine Die-cutting Process (1)

The screen printing industry has always been filled with strong competition for smoke. Manufacturers get less and less business profits here, they have to introduce advanced technology and increase production efficiency. Over time, screen printers are also paying more and more attention to the proliferation of services provided outside of production, rather than merely relying on technology to bring benefits.

Die-cutting is a major process both in the offset printing and screen printing industries. It can improve the performance of prints and at the same time obtain new business channels and provide profitable market space for enterprises. This article describes the working principle of die-cutting equipment and helps wire mesh and digital image production companies improve the production line.

Applications

Many common prints are screen or digitally printed. Some surfaces are covered with film and then die-cut, such as labels, labels, decals, nameplates, advertising products, etc. (see Figure 1). Other frequently encountered printed die-cut products include various plastic cards such as credit cards, telephone cards, consumer membership cards, and insurance and ID cards (see Figure 2). Companies that perform short-run digital printing can also produce more profitable products by introducing die-cutting equipment, even in the case of variable-data printing, such as packaging applications.

Therefore, die cutting can create new markets for advertising products. Magnetic labels and advertising papers attached to refrigerators are another type of screen and digital printing products, and they are printed and die-cut quickly at a speed suitable for high-volume and ever-expanding production. What is the next new die-cut product? Only time can answer. However, regardless of the direction of product development, it has evolved with the improvement of die-cutting equipment. Recently, some new die-cutting products (a new car's rear view mirror heater) indicate that the industry involved in the die-cutting process is very wide. The quality of screen and digital printed products has reached certain requirements, and it can also be made into thermal and adhesive products. These new products have promoted the progress of the production of die-cutting process systems and the cooperation of printing and post-printing processes.
