National ink production in January was nearly 30,000 tons

According to the latest statistics from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, in January 2007, the total ink production in various provinces, districts, and municipalities directly under the Central Government reached 29,946 tons. Among them, Guangdong Province had the highest production of inks, amounting to 9,438 tons; Shanghai ranks second, to 5,060 tons; followed by Zhejiang and Tianjin, 4626 tons and 4,353 tons, respectively. The provinces with an ink output of 3,000 to 1,000 tons include Shanxi Province (2233 tons) and Jiangsu Province (1273 tons). The provinces, cities and districts with ink production between 1000 tons and 100 tons have Henan Province (697 tons), Anhui Province (618 tons), Yunnan Province (598 tons), Beijing City (311 tons), Fujian Province (183 tons ) Liaoning Province (141 tons), Shandong Province (118 tons) and Shaanxi Province (109 tons).
