Know much about inkjet process knowledge

Q: I want to make a 6m X 3m advertisement now. I want to ask how to set the file (how many dpi, how many times to reduce, etc.) in PS? The content of the advertisement includes a background picture, an icon, and a two-line text introduction. What is the final output format? In addition, how to set up files with CDs for such advertisements? Do you want to import the CD into the CD after the background picture is made in PS?

Answer: According to the actual size setting, 600 * 300CM, 35DPI is enough. Printing can be done in PHOTOSHOP, you do n’t have to do it in CORELDRAW. The mode is CMYK, and finally the TIF picture or PSD picture is handed to the inkjet company. Importing CORELDRAW will be very slow, so it is not recommended to import CORELDRAW.

Question: If you really want to do it in the CD, how do you set its size and resolution? What is the size and resolution of the background image imported at the same time with PS?

Answer: If the text is more, and the picture is simpler, it can be done on the CD. How big is it? I personally think that if it is done in CD, the DPI in the PS can be a little higher. The dpi is set to the corresponding size!

You need to do it in CorelDRAW. The resolution (resolution) of the imported bitmap depends on the accuracy of the inkjet device used. If it is 600DPI printing, the resolution (resolution) of the imported bitmap can be set to 150DPI. It is better to make in CorelDRAW, because the text is vector without jagged.

In fact, the inkjet printer does not have much higher printing accuracy after you set it to 300DPI. From the economic point of view, the inkjet company can only spray up to 300DPI for indoor photo paper, and waste ink when spraying 600DPI (the printer can spray Up to 600DPI, some of them can even spray to 1440DPI), so I generally do n’t recommend setting the resolution above 100DPI. Of course, if the file is small, the setting is higher. It does not matter if it is sprayed around 75DPI. Do not convert RGB mode to CMYK for printing. Because the RGB color gamut is much larger than CMYK, the colors are more vivid. Printing is due to helplessness and had to switch to CMYK mode. As for the image accuracy, you can check with the output company. If it is made too large, it will be changed to smaller in order to reduce the processing time when outputting.

This argument is not consistent, the RGB color gamut is wide, and inkjet as the color carrier can not be used to reproduce the color of electronic files. General inkjet printers or inkjet printers use CMYK and light blue, light product VI Color ink to reproduce colors, although the color gamut of six colors is not as wide as the RGB color gamut, but it is always wider than the four colors. The color pictures used for printing are converted to CMYK in the software by a group of color parameters ( According to the characteristics of printing ink), if RGB images are used in printing, they are converted into six colors of cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan, and light magenta in the programs embedded in the inkjet (printing) driver and inkjet (printing) ( That is, the color separation process), if you use software to convert the RGB image to CMYK, one problem is that the color separation parameters do not match (the ink is different from the printing ink), and the other problem is that when printing and printing, the four colors must be converted to six colors. There is also a great loss in the middle, so it is better to use RGB spray directly. Basically agree with you. The internal working mode of the inkjet printer is still the four-color mode. But the reason for its wide color gamut is that the color purity and transparency of the printed ink is better than that of the printed ink; second, the color synthesis of the printed ink is a mixture of ink and printing is the superposition of ink, so its color saturation is better than printing. As for the use of light products and light green, it is mainly to make up for the defects of incomplete levels of highlights. We also use this six-color method in traditional printing. Japan Roland eight-color inkjet machine adopts Panton six-color high-fidelity technology, which mainly has two more bright green and bright orange colors, so its color gamut is much larger than the general six-color inkjet machine, basically covering 90% of Panton color area.

Q: So is it better to use RGB or CMYK?

Answer: If you use RGB to spray a black and white letter to a perverted customer, the black will be obtained by superimposing RGB. How much humidity is there and how much ink is used? This is wasteful, difficult to dry, and hurts the nozzle After a week, there will still be bleeding phenomenon, when you are called to lose money, you will have no time to cry, if I use CMYK file, only need to use a black, and there is no bleeding, do not believe you You can try it.

Q: In a printing company, the customer takes the design draft. As a printing company, it usually needs to make adjustments in Photoshop. What should I pay attention to.

Answer: Adjust the colors so that the pictures sprayed by the inkjet printer meet the requirements of customers.

Question: As an operator of an inkjet company, what kind of work should be done? The design has been completed by the customer. Is it just to put the customer's file into the computer and then open and adjust it in the PS, and then start printing? What kind of knowledge is needed?

A: Sometimes the customer design draft is very small, you need to enlarge it, adjust the color, deal with the defects of the picture, or sometimes the customer will FAX the new picture SIZE to you, you change the picture according to the SIZE he wants.

Q: Generally, Photoshop is used for inkjet printing. Is it possible to use Illustrator or CorelDraw?

Answer: Yes, but you have to convert it to a bitmap (TIFF format).

Q: Generally, the size of inkjet printing is very large, so what is the best setting when setting the image size in ps? Wouldn't it be as big as the spray? What can the monitor see! Is it 10: 1? In addition? Is it necessary to use CMYK for inkjet printing? Isn't it better to use RGB if it is like a printer?

A: It mainly depends on whether you are doing a photo shoot or printing a photo shoot. The words are generally of the original large size, with a resolution of 100 DPI. In case of inkjet printing, the resolution of the original large size is generally 35dpi. It is not necessary to use RGB graphics, but you must turn on the [Overflow Warning] when making pictures! ! ! ! ! Of course, it is better to use RGB mode for outdoor printing, because the inkjet printer uses ink instead of printing ink, and its color hiding is not as strong as printing. If it is a photo machine, its size is best to be the original size, the resolution is about 100dpi, but the higher the better. The HP5000 format is about 1.25 meters.

Question: If the inkjet printing is more than a dozen or tens of square meters, if it is set to the original size in ps, can the 17-19 display be so large? I think it is a bit weird?

Answer: This should be flexible. If that is the case, it should be made 1/10 or 1/5 of its original size. Should all of us do professional ethics! Try to be as clear as possible to the client. In short, the size of the file is generally maintained at about 50M to 100M (the resolution is maintained at 100ppi to 50ppi). The larger the size, the lower the resolution; vice versa. Be flexible! The normal dpi of the inkjet printing is 72dpi, some people say it is a golden dot, and then set the dpi according to the size of the picture. Generally, the larger the picture, the lower the dpi. High, especially with very small text. But the highest should not be higher than 300dpi, small picture, 300dpi will not affect the speed of the computer, and it is enough!

Question: Where can I open the [Overflow Warning]?

Answer: Each machine always has a color gamut. If it exceeds this color gamut, it will overflow. For example, the general photo machine K100 is always dark gray.

Q: What is a photo?

Answer: Small format indoor inkjet printing, such as the HP5000 mentioned above is a photo machine, and its width is 1.5M, six-color ink head. The outdoor printing has a 3-8m area.

The accuracy of inkjet printing is generally 100dip / inch, and printing should be 300dip / inch.

Q: Can the inkjet printer spray out borderless? It's like a dozen meters wide outdoor advertising connected together.

A: What we need to connect is to connect several pieces of cloth together.

Question: When printing, I made C0M0YOK100 in the CD. Does the printing company want me to use C60M50Y60K100? Everyone is black, why are the effects different?

Answer: This is because the black nozzle of the inkjet printer generally produces less ink, and the ink is easy to block the nozzle. In order to not affect the effect, the inkjet company uses other colors to form black, so that there is no obvious road (crossed) in the black part. If the inkjet printer is a new nozzle, this setting is not necessary, but the nozzle will be blocked after 3 days. This is determined by the characteristics of the black solute in the black ink. So far, this problem has not been solved globally!

Q: What is adhesive, what is internal light, external light?

Answer: The back side is covered with adhesive film, like a sticker; inside and outside light, I do n’t know if it is called differently in different places; in our case, it is called matte film and bright film, because the surface coating medium is different. . The internal light and external light are for the light cloth. The light-transmitting light cloth using the internal light box is called the internal light cloth. The opaque lamp cloth used to light the lamp from the outside is the inner light lamp cloth. The super-large inkjets are all external light cloths, while the small light boxes use internal light cloths. The two materials are very different.
