Pressure adjustment of flexo printing machine
The pressure adjustment of the flexographic printing machine plays a key role in product quality, especially for the printing of fine dots. The following uses COMCO flexo printing machine as an example to introduce the pressure adjustment of printed film materials.
There are three printing areas on the flexo printing machine, and the pressure adjustment of each printing area will affect the quality of the flexo product.
1. Ink volume pressure Ink volume pressure refers to the pressure between the ink roller and the anilox roller. It can control the amount of ink transfer and ensure the uniformity of the output ink. The ink pressure is large and the ink transfer volume is small; otherwise, the ink transfer volume is large.
If the ink pressure is too large, the anilox roller will have a small amount of ink. Although the reproduction of thin lines, text and dots is good, the printed product lacks gloss and the hue is not saturated enough. If the ink volume pressure is too small (that is, zero pressure), it will not play the role of counting ink, and the print quality will be significantly reduced.
The ink pressure should be determined by the number of screen lines between the printed product and the anilox roller. In general, the ink pressure can be slightly higher when printing dots, fine text, and line plates; the ink pressure can be smaller when printing color blocks and full plates; the ink pressure can be smaller when the printing material has strong ink absorption Some, the opposite is larger; when the printing area is large, the ink volume pressure can be slightly smaller, and vice versa.
2. Inking pressure Inking pressure refers to the pressure between the anilox roller and the printing plate. Its function is to transfer the ink on the anilox roller to the printing plate, so that the required ink layer is formed on the graphic of the printing plate. Inking pressure has a close relationship with the increase of dots. If the pressure is too high, the dots will increase seriously. The high-profile part will increase to 10% of the dots, the tone level will become darker and deeper, and more than 60% of the dots will appear ghosted or become solid. If the pressure is too low, the required ink layer cannot be formed on the printing plate, and the printing effect cannot be achieved.
3. Printing pressure Printing pressure refers to the pressure between the printing plate and the impression cylinder. It transfers the ink on the printing plate to the substrate. The printing pressure is large, the dot increase is obvious, and the middle color is light, the surrounding color is dark, the level is not obvious, and the dark tone part is easy to paste. If the printing pressure is too small, dots and fine text are easy to be lost. When adjusting, care should be taken to ensure that the pressure on both sides of the plate cylinder and the impression cylinder is appropriate, so that the two are in line contact.
