Recommended salt spray test box for sprinklers and its test method
The YASELINE salt spray test chamber is produced by Beijing Yashilin Testing Equipment Co., Ltd., and its salt spray test chamber can meet national standards. The following is a description of the method of making a salt spray test for sprinkler products:
For sprinklers in general environments: The test is carried out in a salt spray test chamber. The sodium chloride salt solution having a mass ratio of 20% is atomized to form a salt spray having a density of 1.123 g/mL to 1.157 g/mL and a pH of 6.5 to 7.2. The 5 nozzle samples are filled into the distilled water from the inlet, sealed at the thread with a cover made of a material that does not react with the salt spray (such as plastic), and supported or suspended in the test area of the salt spray test chamber according to the normal installation position. The temperature in the test area should be maintained at (35 ± 2) ° C and the spray pressure between 0.07 MPa and 0.17 MPa. The used salt solution should be collected and should not be recycled. The sample should be shielded to prevent condensation from dripping on it. In the test area, salt spray should be collected from at least two points to determine the atomization rate and salt concentration. In the continuous 16h, 1mL ~ 2mL salt solution should be collected every 80cm2 area per hour in the collection area, the mass of the salt solution should be (20 ± 1)%. After 10 days of testing, the nozzle was taken out from the salt spray test chamber and dried for 4 to 7 days at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C and a relative humidity of not more than 70%. After drying, all tests were subjected to a seal test and a functional test at a pressure of 0.035 MPa. As a result, the nozzle should not be corroded.
For use in corrosive environments: For use in corrosive environments, sprinklers shall be tested in accordance with the methods specified in the above requirements. The period of the salt spray test shall be extended from 10d to 30d. After the corrosion test, all the samples were subjected to a sealing test and a functional test under a pressure of 0.035 MPa. As a result, the nozzles should not be corroded. All samples after the above tests shall be subjected to the sealing test and the functional test under the pressure of 0.35 MPa, respectively, and shall conform to the nozzles without leakage and start-up flexibility throughout the test.
Note: The above salt spray corrosion test method is the standard GB/T 5135.1-2003 "Automatic sprinkler system Part 1: sprinkler".
