Curing is just to put the composite membrane into the curing room, is it so simple to take it out after processing? The answer is of course no! If the curing is not well controlled, it is entirely possible that the previous composite work will be lost, resulting in poor quality peeling strength of the composite film, poor opening, odor and other quality problems, and the amount of scrap is very large, resulting in mass quality accidents.

 

Methods of doing aging management

So, in practical work, how do we manage the curing of composite membranes?

 

1. The design of the curing room should be done well, especially the design of the heating system of the curing room

At present, the domestic common cooking room heating system has two types of external heating and internal heating. External heating refers to heating the air to a certain temperature outside the curing room, and then sends the hot air into the curing room with a fan, and internal heating refers to installing a heating tube in the curing room to heat the indoor air. Regardless of the heating method, the purpose is to achieve stable and uniform temperature in the curing room. When the internal heating method is adopted, it is best to install the heating tube in the lower part of the curing room and attach a fan. Conditional manufacturers, it is best to install at least two curing chambers, one temperature is set at 40 ℃ ~ 45 ℃, one temperature is set at 50 ℃ ~ 55 ℃, respectively used for curing of different composite films.

 

2. Time management and temperature management of film curing

At present, almost all brands and types of adhesives on the market will indicate the curing time in the instruction manual, but in actual work, we can often see that some flexible packaging manufacturers are either shortened because the delivery time is too fast The curing time may be extended because the post-process progress cannot keep up, and shortening the curing time may result in incomplete curing of the adhesive, which may affect the peel strength or residual odor, and too long curing time may cause poor film opening.

 

Therefore, it is necessary to set up the "curing time registration form", number the composite film roll material, and register the time when it enters and takes out the curing room, and strictly follow the time specified by the adhesive, if the delivery date is too Urgent, can use quick-drying ester-soluble polyurethane adhesive or alcohol-soluble adhesive compound.

 

As mentioned above, it is best to install two curing chambers with different set temperatures, because the composite membranes with different material structures have different curing temperature requirements.

 

The management of the compound process should not ignore every detail. Only by putting every work into practice and achieving "controllable" can we get the best compound effect.
