Definition, characteristics and application of UV varnish for paper prints

The so-called printing glazing is to print the glazing oil once or twice with the solid printing plate or the graphic printing plate on the surface of the replica finished with graphic printing, so as to obtain a bright UV film layer on the surface of the printed product. Printing and glazing can enhance the light resistance of the ink, increase the ability of the ink layer to prevent heat and moisture, and protect the imprint, beautify the product, and replace the film. Compared with laminating, etc., printing glazing is not only cheap and easy to process, but also can be full-page glazing or partial glazing.

UV glazing is a method of curing glazing paint by using UV (abbreviation of Ultraviole, ultraviolet). It has the characteristics of rapid curing and low-temperature curing of paint, which can help solve many problems in the gloss processing of paper prints. Therefore, it has been widely used in the gloss processing of paper containers, trademarks, seals, pictures, tape envelopes and other printed products. In foreign countries, UV glazing is generally used for the gloss processing of book and magazine covers.

UV glazing is rapidly emerging and is likely to replace plastic coatings and solvent-based glazing in many products, which mainly depends on the following characteristics:

1) UV varnish contains almost no solvent, and the emission of organic volatiles is very small, so it reduces air pollution, improves the working environment, and reduces the risk of fire;

2) UV varnish does not contain solvents and does not require heat energy during curing. The energy consumption required for curing is only about 20% of infrared curing ink and infrared curing varnish. In addition, this glazing oil has a strong affinity for ink and strong adhesion, at 80-120W / cm UV. The curing speed can reach 100 ~ 300m / min under lamp irradiation;

3) The printed products processed by UV glazing process are brighter and brighter than other processing methods, and the cured coating is wear-resistant, more resistant to chemicals and chemicals, and has good stability. It can be scrubbed with water and ethanol ;

4) UV glazing oil has high effective components and less volatilization, so the dosage is saved. Generally, the coating amount of varnish for coated paper is only about 4g / m2, and the cost is about 60% of the cost of the film;

5) It can avoid the defects that often occur in the plastic film coating process, such as edge warping, blistering, wrinkling, delamination, etc. The UV glazing products are not sticky, and can be stacked and stacked after curing, which is beneficial to post-processing such as binding operation;

6) Can be recycled. Solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by the plastic composite paper base can not be recycled.

The composition and type of UV glazing oil UV glazing oil is made of ultraviolet light-sensitive resin, photoinitiator, active monomer and auxiliary agent, and is processed by scientific compound. The types of UV varnishes can be divided into UV varnishes for UV inks, UV varnishes for oily inks, and both types of UV varnishes. They can also be divided into off-type UV varnishes according to the coating process method On-line UV varnish or both UV varnish.

UV glazing oil can be widely used in off-line glazing such as roll (roller) coater, gripper coater, gravure coater and flexographic coater.

The high-efficiency roll coating machine for thick paper is composed of rollers rotating in the same direction. According to the different combinations of rollers and the angle of the centerline between the rollers, it can be divided into many models. Gripper-tooth coating machine is suitable for paper with specifications of 80 ~ 120g / m2; gravure coating machine and flexographic coating machine are mainly for local coating. The gravure coater can make the local image clear and the coating uniform. However, the coating amount can only be adjusted by the dilution amount, as long as the number, depth and shape of the gravure lines are not changed, the coating amount cannot be increased or decreased. When flexographic coating is applied, the edge of the image is prone to edge contours and lacks sharpness. However, the adjustment and revision of the coating amount are relatively easy.

After coating with any of the above coating machines, a hot air oven or an infrared oven is generally used to evaporate the solvent, and then cured by ultraviolet light.

Gas Grill

A gas grill is a type of outdoor grill that uses propane or natural gas as a fuel source to cook food. It typically has a metal cooking grate, burners, and a hood or lid to trap heat and smoke. Gas grills are popular because they are easy to use and offer precise temperature control, making them ideal for grilling a variety of foods, from burgers and hot dogs to vegetables and seafood. They can also be used year-round, as they do not require charcoal or wood for fuel. Some gas grills also have additional features such as side burners, rotisserie attachments, and built-in thermometers.
