For the future development direction of plastic processing technology, experts from the China Plastics Processing Industry Association believe that in the future, the improvement of China's plastics industry technology level will be reflected in the three aspects of lightweight, composite and functional.
Lightweighting is to minimize the use of raw materials while meeting the performance requirements. Lightweight is directly related to the effective use of resources by the cost of the product. Stretching plastic products, such as biaxially stretched acrylic films, not only does not reduce the strength of the film due to thinning, but also increases, and the transparency and gloss are improved. This technique can be applied to plates and pipes and similar results can be obtained. The foaming rate of foamed plastic products is doubled, the use of raw materials is reduced by half, and it also plays a role of sound insulation, thermal insulation and buffering. Plastic profiles and plates for building decoration, not only can save raw materials after foam molding, but also have the same nails, drills, saws and other machinability as wood. Compounding is an important way to improve the performance of plastic products and expand the application of products. A plastic cannot have multiple properties at the same time, and using a multi-layered composite structure allows different layers of materials to do their best. Functionalization is currently the goal pursued by various plastic products. It is mainly embodied in the new functions of plastic products, namely, electricity, heat, light, magnetic and flame retardant, and degradation. These functions will expand the application of plastic products, new inventions will accompany them, and new products will be introduced to form new plastic products with novel structures, uniqueness and practical appearance. It will take a new look to welcome people to a new life.
