Preparation before printing
Before printing, the PS plate must be thoroughly and carefully checked to ensure that the surface of the PS plate is smooth and flat, without dirt, scratches, etc. In addition, the temperature and humidity of the PS version of the storage environment should be appropriate to avoid direct exposure to the air, and the storage time should not be too long. In addition, the plate-making machine must be kept clean, the transparent glass plate is clean (usually wiped with alcohol), and the film is free from dirt.
Adjust the exposure
First, a small piece with a side length of 100 mm was taken from the PS plate as a test material, and then blank sulfuric acid paper was placed thereon. After the exposure test, the sulfuric acid paper was removed, and the surface of the PS plate was observed for traces. Then adjust the exposure time to re-exposure until the standard exposure time is reached.
Guarantee development
The developer concentration, development temperature, and development time are the main factors that affect the development effect. The higher the developer concentration, the higher the development temperature, and the longer the development time, the more sufficient the reaction between the photosensitive resin on the surface of the PS plate and the developer, and the more complete the dissolution of the exposed portion, but at the same time, the dot shrinkage or even loss. Small outlets.
Repair PS version
After the development work is completed, carefully check the graphics and blanks of the PS version to repair the areas with dirty spots in time. During the printing process, the edges of the film leave marks on the surface of the PS plate, so these marks are also repaired. After the PS version is repaired, it is necessary to quickly rinse off the retouching paste with water, and use the method from the inside to the outside to avoid the revision paste being washed into the graphic part.
Protect the dried plate
In order to protect the dried printing plate, a hydrophilic protective glue may be applied on the surface of the printing plate to prevent the blank portion from being oxidized. When applying glue, try to make the glue coating thin and even, and avoid hard objects scratching the plate layout. At the same time, be careful to keep the dried plates in a clean and dark place.
Check plate quality
First, use a magnifying glass to check the virtual reality of the dots. If the dots are round and full, 2% of the small dots can be seen, 3% of the dots are clear, the middle-adjusted dots are obviously enlarged, and the dark tone is not pasted, so the plate quality is determined to be up to standard. Then, check the position of the image on the surface of the plate, the position of the mouth and the tip, whether there is a crease in the plate layout, and whether the graphic is complete. Handle areas with abnormalities in a timely manner.
