U.S. Develops Successful Green Plastics

Degradable plastics (natural plastics) made from polylactide polymers have been successfully developed and applied in Japan by Cargill Road, USA, becoming the first packaging material to be obtained in Japan (green plastic).
This new film packaging material is currently used as the outer packaging of goods, mainly based on some of its features and performance, such as good clarity and surface gloss, and has a longer service life than gun-loaded plastic on the market. It has now been used by Sony Corporation of Japan to package its micro-laser players.
Japan’s “green plastic” logo was awarded to help consumers distinguish between ordinary plastics and plastics that are easily degraded, giving them the “green plastic” logo and complying with stringent environmental requirements. The introduction of plastics into everyday applications is intended to promote consumer understanding of the use and superiority of plastics and thus achieve the goal of promoting green plastics.
